Mina Rhodes was concieved in a Cuban tidal pool. This is not a joke. She is willing to bet her father's sperm got lost, and instead, her mother's egg was fertilized by some kind of ocean creature (most likely a pufferfish). A nomadic person, she has lived in several obscure places in the US, and yes, that includes Alaska (for five years!). Having lived in such a chilly environment during the tender formative ages between 5 and 10 years of age, she spent many hours snowed in, her mind slowly being warped by a deadly combination of early nineties television, rated R movies 'borrowed' from her cinemaphile next door neighbor, and late night Showtime (when she could sneak it). She is an aspiring filmmaker (to quote her film critic hero Jiminy Glick: 'Well, who isn't, dear?'), who thinks David Lynch, Mamoru Oshii, and Michelangelo Antonioni are the greatest directors to have ever lived (you know it in your heart to be true).
