Entertainment News and ViewsJudge Mitchell Hattaway's Blog
• Read Judge Hattaway's full dossier Continuing the Theme A few days ago I spent about two hours in Wal-Mart watching my nephew have a heart attack over the new Star Wars toys. After finally tearing him away I picked up both The Making of... and The Art of... books for myself, and grabbed the kiddie novelization for him. The more I see, the more optimistic--and excited--I am. The last half hour or so looks like it could be killer (although I don't know how Mike will react to finding out the Dagobah scene has apparently been cut). I'm pretty sure I know what Dan's getting at in his blog, and from what I've seen and read, I think it's implied, but no one states it outright.
Sweet! I don't care how old I am, I want this.
Saved By The Buoyancy Of Citrus Just wanted to come back and drop this in: Rest easy Mitch.
Not Track Five, Not Chainsaw Juggler Rumors are circulating about the death of comedian Mitch Hedberg. If it's true, I for one will miss him. If it's all a big April Fool's joke, then he's a bastard.
I've Seen Younger Faces On Cash I'd like to thank my parents for ruining my plans of watching Kagemusha by holding their 50th wedding anniversary party on the same day my copy finally shows up. I'd also like to thank their lack of computer knowledge for guaranteeing that they'll never see this. Thanks also to Jeffrey Ross for allowing me to steal a joke.
The Genius of Nick Hornby So I'm reading Nick Hornby's Fever Pitch and I run across this: The truth is this: for alarmingly large chunks of an average day, I am Nice to know I'm not the only one, and Nick Hornby's not bad company to be in. Great book. The movie (the Farrelly Bros. version, not the one starring Colin Firth) looks awful, although I have to say I do enjoy seeing Drew Barrymore being hit in the face by a foul ball.
My Future Ex-Wife Happy 29th birthday to Brittany Daniel! Yes, I checked with my attorney. And, no, this doesn't violate the terms of the restraining order. Comes damn close, though.
Robots I don't care what Roger Ebert and my nephew say, Robots blows, although the Episode III trailer looks nice on a big screen.
Yeah, I did. Record The O.C. just to see the Episode III preview, that is. I did stop to watch some bits of the show as I was fast-forwarding thru it to get to the preview. Man, you know something's wrong when not even hot chicks kissing can make a show watchable.
Good Deal! You Can't Lose! Anybody want a free dog? I'll pay shipping.
