The first time through, I wasn't sure. The second viewing got me really excited. Stephen Lang looks so badass.

Word. Exactly when did Freddy Lounds turn into a grizzled, muscle-bound ass-kicker?

I showed it to two the girls at work this evening and one of em got real excited, the other just didn't get us at all.

I tried to explain to her that this was Cameron, it ain't gonna be some poor excuse for sci-fi 'asplodin', even a misguided Cameron throws a bit of thought, heart, and soul into his work.

I also told her that she's going to be pulling the Friday night shift on the 18th.

If he had regrown his Ike Clanton mustache we'd be looking at the greatest man who ever lived. Cameron probably told him to shave it off so it'd at least be somewhat believable when he gets his comeuppance at the end.

Also, it would have caused a disturbance in the space-time continuum that rippled backwards, permanently changing Tombstone so that it ends with Kurt Russell getting punched in the throat so hard that he develops a severe case of death. No one wants that.

I'm impressed, not completely won over by the story, but impressed by the CGI. I'm not keen on the 3-hour running time, though. Cameron had better have a really good story to merit it, otherwise it'll end up like Jackson's King Kong remake.

Just saw the second trailer at an all digital theater, and it was definitely impressive. My mother who is nearly 70 even expressed interest in seeing it (mostly because she's a recent fan of the Real-D 3D presentations).

Watched the second trailer in 1080p and still doesn't give me the "WOW! Gotta go see this!" feeling.
I will though, and at the new Cinemark that just opened by me. Maybe I'm expecting too much?
