ahem it has been 27 years...things change.
Can a voice change that
radically - timbre, tone, accent, and delivery? Go back and listen to the movie which I have seen enough times to recite almost verbatim all the way from "Klytus, I'm bored!" to the final Ming laugh. Age certainly deepens the voice, and can sometimes get more raspy. But in this case there is a severe disconnect in every aspect. I don't have a definitive answer here, but most people agree he was dubbed in part if not entirely.
I agree with Addison about Melody, and she sounds "the same!". What a hoot she is. She dominates the commentary. And she does have a point about the costumes and sets - the designer won several Academy Awards for his efforts in other films, and if that movie has anything it is a keen sense of design.
