Kerwin Mathews, the star of THE 7TH VOYAGE OF SINBAD, has passed away at the age of 81. Tim Lucas offers up a great tribute at The Video Watchblog.

Wow! The TV production company I work with did some business with Mr. Mathews a few years back (duplicating to DVD/VHS from his personal film copies of old movies not available to the public) and I talked to him over the phone a couple of times. I knew who he was and was surprised his voice sounded so youthful even though he was in his 70's. Very sad to hear of his passing!

First movie I ever saw in a theatre was Jack The Giant Killer.

JTGK, Sinbad, Gulliver, Johann Strauss....he played em all. He also found his way into some minor but entertaining Italian B films.

Recommended:

The Garment Jungle, Jack The Giant Killer, OSS117.

RIP
