Since there's a Marvel one, I figure why not have one for DC?

Let's start off the bat with WB's recent photo run. First it was the first look at Henry Cavill as Superman from Man of Steel yesterday, and now today the first look at Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle from The Dark Knight Rises. They both look good, but not feeling the muted colors on Cavill's suit.

What do you think?

There's not enough in either still to form much of an opinion on. Low-lighting in the Superman still, no context in the Selina Kyle shot. That said, the muted Superman colors appear to be less an inherent quality of the outfit and more a post-production image treatment.

The best part of Cavill's suit (in that pic, anyway) is the retro S. That, combined with his stance, evokes the Superman of the 1940s, when he was all about hurling car-loads of gangsters through the air and intervening in domestic abuse cases in order to pimp-slap ruffian husbands. It definitely piques my curiosity about the movie.

I'm pretty sure I started one a year or so ago and it got ignored. Probably because DC movie news comes out much slower and isn't nearly as interesting as Marvel movie news.

Ranne Thataway is striking an especially awkward pose there. The early promo shots of Bale in his Batman outfit looked super awkward, too. I wouldn't worry too much. I suspect there will be a lot more slinkiness in motion.

Looks to me like they're taking a more "Selina Kyle" approach rather than a "Catwoman" approach. There's nothing there even remotely "cat-like".

wouldn't be remotely surprised if they don't even utter the name "Catwoman" in the film.
