I think my thread fell victim to the spam deletion thing...anyway, watched Independence Day again the other night and chuckled to myself upon noticing, for the first time in many viewings, that when Jeff Goldblum points to the TV screen to show his colleague the aliens "moving chess pieces into position before the strike" thing, the caption at the bottom of the screen reads: "Southern hemisphere unaffected."

Phew! Emmerich may have destroyed the Statue of Liberty more times than any other film maker in history, but he'll never destroy Australia!
