I couldn't be more happier with this. Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed that Joss Whedon will return to write and direct Avengers 2, as well as help develop the tie-in SHIELD show at Marvel and ABC Studios.

Joss gets to return to his TV roots, and he's coming back for Avengers 2. I'd say it's a win-win for everyone.
