David R Ellis RIP

Ellis died at only 60. Ellis was a stuntman, stunt coordinator, & 2nd unit director for a lot of big budget movies (Matrix Reloaded, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, Waterworld, etc.). Ellis wasn’t exactly one of my favorite directors with his poor resume (The Final Destination, Snakes on a Plane, Shark Night 3D). However, I always loved Cellular (one of my favorite movie soundtracks) which gave us Chris Evans in his first action lead role and the opening highway pileup sequence in Final Destination 2 has always been a guilty pleasure of mine.
