Jury Room Members- We need your input!

Postby mhansen on 21 Oct 2009 10:06

As part of the site redesign, we are looking at forum options other than phpBB. What have you experienced as the best format?
Regardless of which way we go, the contents of the Jury Room will be preserved.
Any other input about the redesign is also welcome.

Thanks!

Haven't really seen much that provides the same ease of use and navigation on the user's end that php does. Just sayin'
There's the way it ought to be, and there's the way it is.

Whatever happens to the Jury Room, I would recommend cutting the forum sections down. Blu-Ray and DVD should really be together more than anything else, as should the film and television lists. Too many sub-forums just seems unneccessary, especially given how often some of them are used.

Is the Jury Room under construction, or is this the "new look"? I'm getting a plain generic white background and a confusing list of the topics and boards. I don't like it at all.
I hope this is only temporary and will revert back to what it was or will have a better design.

The only change I'd like would be the ability to put small pictures in my signature. I understand that may be a massive can of worms though.

I prefer phbBB, but also find vBulletin to be an easy to use system, as a poster.

I hear and understand you. Unfortunately, having them separate is very important to the studios... who support us... so we can have a site... so we can have a forum. Sorry.

ya know if someone had told us that the 1st time we'd have probably helped.

Um, OK.

Michael has made this point before in discussions:
"The breakout of DVD and Blu-ray was done for the benefit of our studio and agency partners, who have been asking for more delineation between the two."

Any way, we are willing to make changes to the forum, as long as they still allow us to have a forum.
