Careful, like Twilight of the Ice Nymphs and The Saddest Music in the World, is in color
If Saddest Music is considered a color film, then so is Schindler's List. Two extremely brief two-strip technicolor scenes do not a color film make, IMO.
By the way, if you are interested in learning more about the problems with Twilight of the Ice Nymphs, check out Maddin's book, the floridly titled From the Atelier Tovar: Selected Writings. Mostly, it comes down to Maddin never feeling a connection to the material. His embarrassment and disappointment for the whole project is clear. The book, which is, in large part, a collection of Maddin's personal diary entries, goes a long way toward explaining many of the more elusive obsessions in his movies.
