Direct Contact

Postby Movie Mike » Sat Jun 13, 2009 9:34 am

Judge Mike Rubino pretty much nailed the awesome badness of Direct Contact but what really had me in stitches is that we get Nu Image and director Danny Lerner (Sharks in Venice) bringing us another collection of stock footage from their previous films. The movie's action scenes consist 90% of recycled Nu Image footage (I guess that makes them environmentally friendly) and this fact is laughably highlighted during a daylight car chase where Dolph and the girl are clearly dressed in winter coats yet all the exterior shots of the car shows the driver (who also looks nothing like Dolph) is wearing a tuxedo or black suit, and there is no sign of the girl in the passenger seat. On the plus side we do get to see Michael Paré blow up real good.
