I wholeheartedly agree......these particular shorts are but a flaccid imitation of the former glory of the Hal Roach shorts.
These later ones are terribly unfunny.
Since I was a kid me and my friends never liked the ones that we usually dubbed "the ones where Spanky is older".

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I was looking forward to checking the shorts out since I hadn't seen many of them, but it was ultimately a rather disheartening viewing experience. Ah, well.
