Agreed, these films are fantastic. And the review does take HIT Entertainment to task for disc setup but does not hit hard enough on the fact that HIT Entertainment choose to present Loaf and Death in a pan-and-scan format, not the correct wide screen. Note that the bonus feature on the making of Loaf and Death is in anamorphic wide screen, including scenes from the film.
Considering how little of the DVD space is utilized, both wide screen and pan-and-scan versions could have been put on the disc if there had to be a pan-and-scan presentation (I guess they think, since these are "children's show", the little tots don't want to watch wide screen shows on the 54" plasma sets in their bedrooms and therefore just give us pan-and-scan).
Great shows, very poor DVDs.
