Brazil (Blu-Ray)

Judge Rogers,

I'm a bit surprised that your review missed one major part of the movie: Michael Palin as Sam's friend Jack Lint. One of Gilliam's best ideas was casting the ever-amiable Palin as Jack, that nice, friendly family man who does some terrible things at "Information Retrieval". It's probably Palin's best performance, expecially near the finish when we see Lint on the job.

Just thought I'd pass that along.

I didn't even think of it until you mentioned it just now. Definitely more than an oversight on my part because it's also one of my favorite roles. Especially when Sam greets him at his new department only to find him in an office slicked with blood and his daughter in the corner nonchalantly playing. Gilliam definitely plays up the macabre nature of it all and Palin does nothing but enhance it with his expressive grin.

Can't believe I didn't mention it. Palin was always one of my favorite Python members, especially after watching Pole to Pole as a kid.

Was there anything else in the review lacking or that was glossed over? I look over it here and there and see some things I should have expounded upon.

No, other than that the review was OK.

Thanks for the reply.

No, really I thought it was a good review. I didn't mean to downplay it.
