REVIEW: Alan Wake (xbox360)

The Charge:
In darkness, fight with light.

Opening Statement:
It’s been near a full 7 years since Max Payne last graced us with his presence in 2003. Remedy have finally returned, bringing with them a new protagonist in Alan Wake. Trading rain soaked New York streets for fog enshrouded pines, and two-fisting colt 45’s for heavy duty Maglites and road flares, does Wake live up to Payne’s pedigree?

Good review.

I didn't expect it to be a top seller (coming out against Red Dead), but it really hasn't been doing all that well. Hope it's a slow burner as i really want a sequel

I think it could have done better if microsoft had given it more push, but i feel they blew the promotional wad two or three years ago and just kind of let it rot after that. The short films were cool and all, but not what i would deem mainstream marketing.

yer right the marketing was really poor, I still think coming out against Red Dead at the beginning of summer wasn't the best time to launch, and the fact they had no demo out for it didn't do it any favors. Still I think people will slowly start buying it, maybe when the PC version comes out.
