please please please bring back Harry Mudd in a Star Trek movie.
i even found the guy to play him.

I think we should start an Internet campaign demanding that Nathan Fillion be cast as Mudd. It would make no sense, but neither do any of the Internet campaigns demanding Fillion be cast in various roles for which he's not really suited.

Personally, I think it'd be great to see that crook brought back. Unfortunately, I doubt it'd happen in a "Star Trek" movie. The current thinking is that movies need insanely powerful, Universe-threatening villains for the heroes to face. Harry isn't anywhere near the type.

Unless, of course, Harry and Kirk have to team up to stop the bad guy...

no no no Harry was very anything more than his own worst enemy. i wouldnt' see his character as being 'the villain' just the B Story.

In one book I have about TOS, the author rightly notes that the idea of Harry actually threatening someone is ridiculous. As he put it, "Harry would be terrified just looking at a phaser."

I agree that having Harry as a B-Plot adversary sounds promising. Question is, would they get his character right?
