"Battleship" Commercial

My brother Bri's reaction to the "Battleship" commercial during the Super Bowl:

Coming May 2013

John Woo presents...

CHUTES & LADDERS

You have to climb high, to take a big fall

THIS FILM HAS NOT BEEN RATED

Hey Kenneth, your brother wasn't the only one who had that reaction. ;-)
Woo will try for a hard R-rating, but the studio will force him to trim it to a PG-13.

I predict Battleship will be the most cynical, soulless, & unwatchable big-budget blockbuster of 2012. I guess Hasbro had to recycle all the footage they didn’t use from their awful Transformers movies for this one. The worst part is it will probably make a s#!tload a money with Liam Neeson & Rihanna promoting it everywhere.

I’m personally waiting for Hungry Hungry Hippos “The Reckoning”. Man, was Robot Chicken ahead of the curve with the sketch about turning board games into movies.

Nooo...the preview that looked the best was The Dictator. Looks like Cohen's going to blast it outta the park again.

I was disappointed, I thought this was going to be based on the venerable Japanese Manga series about the Battleship Yamato...great stuff!

They'll get to that when they do the live-action remake of "Star Blazers".

Incidentally, "Star Blazers" is my brother's choice for the best Japanamation series. I disagree; I'm going with "Speed Racer".

Hey, I was kidding! I had no idea they'd actually done one! I'l have to follow up on this.

I wonder if they'll explain how the Argo/Yamato could get blasted to pieces in every battle, yet look utterly brand new in the next episode.

I have a copy on Blu, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I'll post thoughts if/when I do :)

I would be pissed, but I've yet to hear a good thing about it.
