Andy Griffith RIP

Postby hoytereden » Wed Jul 04, 2012 1:07 pm

Andy Griffith passed away yesterday at the age of 86. I'm not good at linking to other sites but tcm.com has a nice biography posted as well as a tcm remembers tribute to Andy to be shown on July 18.

I wish TCM was showing "Angel in My Pocket". It's a nice little comedy from the '60's with Griffith as a small-town minister. I'd like to get a copy for my Mom.

They will be showing A Face in the Crowd, of course. One of the all time great film debuts of any actor. (imo)

He was my neighbor out here in the Outer Banks. Got his start with Lost Colony - an institution here for over 70 years. Would love to try and audition for that some day, if I'm still here.
