Toshiba announces their first Blu-ray player. If you can't beat them by buying off studios, you damn well better join them.

I'm surprised it took them this long actually. I wonder what it will perform like. They have a reputation to live up to. I'm guessing it will be good, Toshiba is a market leader after all and not just a rebrander like most of what we see in the stores.

So far who's the best, LG perhaps. I know the PS3 is still near the top, and it's been sped up (somehow) with the 3.0 firmware update. Youtube has some videos where a second or two was shaved off the loading times of blu ray movies.
