The 13th Warrior

Yet another territory gets in on the action while we get dick!

French distributors Metropolitan Filmexport/Seven 7 have revealed that they are preparing a Blu-ray release of John McTiernan's The 13th Warrior (1999), starring Antonio Banderas (Assassins), Omar Sharif (Doctor Zhivago, Vladimir Kulich (Firestorm), and Daniel Southern. Technical specs and region coding status for this release are unknown at the moment. The preliminary release date set by the distributors is October 13th.

Damn! Long time favorite of mine...wonderful box art too. The only problem with the German release was there was no way to disable the German subtitles correct? Subtitle issues aside do you know if it was a good transfer?
