LOTR extended edition blu-rays

IMDb lists Fellowship runtimes as:

Runtime:178 min | 208 min (special extended edition) | 228 min (Special Extended Blu-Ray Edition)

I wasn't going to bother upgrading to blu-ray with these, but being a nerdy completist, if the blu ray has yet more added scenes, I would consider it. Can anyone clarify this for me?

Those extra twenty minutes are the fan credits. Nothing new was added to the movie.

More fan credits? This was a listing of all of the members of the LOTR Fan Club wasn't it? That got crazy in the first Extended Editions. With epics like these I usually like to watch through all the credits, but after 10 minutes it becomes evident that they might never end.
+1. this is very interesting.

Even so, the upgrade to Blu is still worth it. Those DVD transfers are looking aged and sad.

There's twenty extra minutes of fan credits?? Are you serious???

I'll relent and upgrade to blu ray eventually for the transfer, but was interested in seeing any extra scenes, particularly given that the PJ, FW and PB commentary on the extended editions mentions even more stuff they decided to omit for the extended editions.

Wurd. And the audio on the Blu-rays is sick.
