Traded in some stuff and got Salo: Criterion. This is one case where I'm just as interested, if not more so, to see the extra goodies as I am to finally see this movie.

If the're good drugs, share. It's funny, Miriam Hopkins was so sexy in her pre-code days but later attempts like her dance hall scene in Virginia City doesn't work at all. God, I love pre-code films! 8)

i have been culling my collection most rigorously...but somehow i think precode is sacrosanct.
it's all good even when it's bad.

Any idea what our experts in the field are saying about "Hurricane Retail"?

Goddamn man - Hurricane Retail is at LEAST an F4, maybe solid F5 this year. Even better year for games than last year.

Socom: Confrontation - PS3

And Jon, You'd LOVE Dead Space. Teaspoon of Doom 3, an ounce of Resident Evil 4, a liberal dashing of Metroid Prime (and super Metroid), a cup of melted Event Horizon, and a quart of awesomesauce! put in a blender and hit SMOOTHEE for a few minutes.

Any opinion of Silent Hill-Homecoming for the PS3? I'm already seeing used copies at Game Stop which begs the question-Is it that easy to blow through or is it that bad? BTW-I found a used copy of Fatal Frame at GS which I remember you said was one of the best of the "Survival Horror" titles.

Creepy as heck, and also super rare. Good catch!

I only managed the first 10 minutes of SH: Homecoming, but what i saw of it was pretty effective, moody, and suitably Silent hill. I think you're going to see a lot of sellbacks on that one. The popularity of the series since the film has jumped a bit, and i don't think people really remember that the gameplay of the series was always pretty niche, and not all that well executed. It's all in the mood and creep factor. Mainstreamers are going to our over it and walk away.

Add Fable 2: LE and Far Cry 2, both on Xbox360 to my cart as well.

Hurricane retail is DEFINITELY an F5 this year.

Got to try out Little Big Planet on PS3 last night, and man, it is amazing - a game for just about anybody really, unfortunately, the local wal mart wasn't permitted to sell them, probably due to the recall.
