OK, you guys are right. The DVD doesn't have to be shrink-wrapped (bonus points for nerdiness if they are

) but definitely not watched to qualify.
A PS2 was my first DVD player so everything is post mid-2000. From an early look at my shelf I see "Jurassic Park/Lost World Pak," "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back," "Total Recall" (the red planet packaging), "Cleopatra: Fox Five Star Collection" (still shrink-wrapped), "Speed: Five Star Collection" (still shrink-wrapped), "Amadeus: Director's Cut" (still shrink-wrapped), "The Beatles Anthology," "The Ren & Stimpy Show: First and Second Seasons Uncut" (never even seen the damn 'toon), "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" (still shrink-wrapped), "The Manchurian Candidate" (original, still shrink-wrapped), "Pulp Fiction/Jackie Brown/True Romance" (the last one still shrink-wrapped), etc. Release dates for these titles date as back as 2001 ("True Romance").
Wow!

And that doesn't even include newer stuff still shrink-wrapped/unwatched: half my Blu-ray and HD-DVD discs, all three seasons of "Veronica Mars" and "Arrested Development," "Bones S1 & S2," several early "Simpsons" seasons, "Joan of Arcadia S1 & S2," "Flintstones S1 & S2," etc.
