Oh, and my import copy of Bayonetta for PS3 arrived from the land of the rising sun. Expect an import review on Pixel Verdict early next week.

Terminator Salvation (Blu-Ray)
And I went ahead and grabbed Wrath of Khan on BD when it was on sale at Amazon for 8 smacks. Montalban's granny mullet is worth at least that.

I played the 360 demo of Bayonetta and what a colossal turd it was.

I've learned to ignore demos entirely. The hour or so I've put into Bayonetta so far and its been a colossal blast. It's everything I loved about Devil May Cry, with all the empty running and key collecting cut out of it.

Hey there,

The Golden Age of Television: Criterion
Watchmen - The Ultimate Cut
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance: Centennial Collection

The Criterion disc is worth it's weight in gold and the other two aren't so bad either.

Mystery Science Theater 3000: Volume XVI Limited Edition. This, like most of the stuff I ordered from amazon over the holiday weekend, went through the dvdverdict website so the site gets a few pennies from my purchases. So back off Stailey, I did my part! ;-)

Didn't actually buy anything for myself, but I did buy the following DVDs as Christmas gifts for others:

Liar, Liar (don't laugh--this is my roommate's favorite movie of all time, and she's never gotten it on DVD)
Dexter: Season One
The Big Lebowski: 10th Anniversary Edition.

A great deal; too good to pass up. Blind buy for me since I've never seen any episode since the pilot. I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

Picked up Terminator Salvation Blu-ray today.

OK, I technically bought these as gifts before December, but never included them, so here they are:

Passchendaele (my father)
Curb your Enthusiasm Season One (my mom)
Rashomon (my sister)
Death Note II (Girlfriend. Also, a novel)
A Scanner Darkly and Goldfinger (first special edition version) (my friends [long term couple, hence the two gift. one for him, one for her.])
Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home for my little cousin, as she dug the new Trek film. Figured this might be a gate way to classic Trek/

As for my brother, managed to grab him an action figure of the brain Gremlin.

I had some "little" films to upgrade...

I got Psycho 2 in the newer widescreen, and also Pumpkinhead also in the newer widescreen edition.
And the newer Logan's Run release.

District 9 - Blu-ray.

Also got a few older DVD's for extremely cheap. Nothing too exciting. Finally own my own copy of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, even if it ain't the shiny Criterion version, you just can't beat 2 dollars.
