Has Anyone Seen "Trick R' Treat?" (2007)

I really enjoyed this movie allot. The only thing I don't quite get is the ending. I bought this because of all the great reviews that I've been reading and everyone says the same thing "The ending really links all the stories together". I don't understand, it totally went over my head. Did I miss something? How exactly did the ending link everything together?
It's not as though I really need you, if you were here I'd only bleed you..
