Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception - Collector's Edition 7 chapters in (out of 20-odd) and this game is a freaking STUNNER!

The Blast Processing crowd often debated Uncharted 2 when it was released, and how the review cliche was to state that it was "just like a movie!"

Well - this is JUST LIKE A MOVIE! :)

The plot is just propelling me forward like a rocket. The second chapter had me completely and utterly smitten, honestly, I've never seen something so refreshingly full of pure utter joy and charm in a video game. I'd play an entire game as *spoiler omitted* ;)

I've been in the mood for trashy Italian horror lately, so I picked up Zombie and The New York Ripper along with Thor: Tales of Asgard. Also, my latest amazon order just shipped with The House by the Cemetery, The General and Steamboat Bill Jr.

Fulci's largely a hack who nevertheless manages to evoke a creepy atmosphere in his movies, despite his gratuitous and blunt approach to horror. I can't really defend his work, nor can I deny that he has genuinely frightened me. I'd love to see The Beyond on blu. That one has one of the most unsettling endings to a horror film I've ever seen.

The Beyond is available on Blu-ray from Arrow Video in the UK. The disc is region free, I believe, and is part of a fantastic set. Early copies of the disc had an issue where the opening was in black and white, instead of sepia, but otherwise is well worth picking up.

They changed the way they do the sale. Instead of 25% off anything and everything (except pre-orders), now they select the sale items and you use the code '25MORE' at checkout for the items with the 25% off label to be reduced.

Okay...it's time for...another set of lame jokes from Attrage

Battlefield 3 - not a single CoD fanboy harmed during production!
and
Modern Warfare 3 - (yes I'm gonna go there...) not a single Battlefield fanboy harmed during production!
and
Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides - not a single drug-addled-ageing-rocker-doing-a-cameo harmed during production!!!
Don't worry darling, its just a hat, belonging to a small man of limited means who lost a fight with a chicken!

I was pleasantly surprised that the Three Colors set was released before the end of the B&N sale, so I picked it up. If only I could say the same for Godzilla...

Nope, I mean my 6-year-old. And why wouldn't a little kid go gaga over the outer space spectacle in Green Lantern? He's been asking to see it again since I rented it for him a month or so ago.
