With 30 extra minutes "Troy DC" would now run a whooping 200+ minutes! On DVD its a given it will be split into two discs but what about HD-DVD? Peter Jackson's King Kong barely fit into an 30GB HD-DVD disc, and that was without TrueHD Dolby sound. And we know Warner will code this version for the HD-DVD prefered codec (VC-1) so it can then be used for the Blu-ray transfer, which means the 50GB BD disc will be gimped! Oh the humanity!

I've heard the original score was going to be included. I'm definitely interested at any rate.

If this is the case, count me in. I hated the score on the theatrical version of TROY...

No, Gabriel Yared's score will not be in the director's cut, and it was never fully recorded to begin with. What Petersen said about the the director's cut was that James Horner's score would be rearranged to accomodate the additional/extended scenes.

Then I'm out. That score was awful the first time, and will be awful the second time around. I'm sure the new material will be interesting, but will it improve the film? I wouldn't bet on it.

Drag - i remember reading something about it in an interview with Peterson a while back. How he had hoped to include it.

To be honest, i thought he was full of it when he said there was an extended cut coming.

If Yared's score was fully recorded before being rejected, I can easily see it being used in the director's cut... but since it wasn't, we'll have to deal with it. :(
