And so it begins. From The Digital Bits:
Starz (Anchor Bay) has revealed that Halloween and both its Evil Dead films and Dawn of the Dead films will all be released on Blu-ray Disc this October (exact street dates TBA)!

No Anchor Bay, no Disney, no Fox & no MGM on HD. Dual releases by Paramount, Dreamworks & Warner. Only exclusive HD is Universal. That is why I think this thing is over by the end of the year.

By all means get the $500 PS3 for Blu-ray and DVD if you want (make sure to upgrade the default OS with the newest one that enables upconverting of regular DVD discs) but a $200-250 HD-A2 HD-DVD player isn't such a bad deal either (especially the upconverting of regular DVD's).

Face it, the war is over - HD-DVD just lost quicker than Blu-Ray is all.
