This is from about eight years ago. It was part of a project I did for my TV production and Advanced Video classes in college. It's an adaptation of a Monty Python sketch from one of their LPs. Some of the more British references were replaced (mainly because some of it tended to go over my classmates' heads..) It's rough and a bit raw, but it still makes me smile.

As a point of comparison with this year's new fall TV shows, here's a look at the ABC fall preview from 1970:

Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmRSD1phDFU

Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVnP1QN8U0E&feature=related

Part 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSgVIUWkVHo&feature=related

Actually, the most interesting preview was for the evening news, in my opinion.

Fasinating footage of the New York Subway system circa 1905 by one of the father's of cinematography, Billy Bitzer. I would assume the sound effects were mixed into the footage, or the whole thing really is extra amazing but the trip down the rabbit hole is still pretty interesting, especially around the 5 minute mark. Footage right here.
