I've never understood this tradition. He sees his shadow, so 6 more weeks of winter - so, winter will be done mid-March? Sounds like a good deal to me - having winter over that early would be great.
And though we be on the far side of the world, this ship is our home.

I think it's six more weeks than usual, not six from Groundhog Day. Of course, I could be wrong.
