Ah, Molly, you have hit a sore spot with this one - even with a DVR I get sick of certain commercials.
I have formulated a theorem called the proliferation of the Cable CrapAd. We all know the ones. You are watching a show on cable and they break for commercials. One after the other they assault your brain until you are thinking that it MUST be time for them to get back to the show. But NO...they have saved one more gem for last....here comes the CrapAd!!!

Let me list the ones that drive me nuts...ProActiv Zit Eradicator....Bowflex exercise machines....all the products hawked by Billy Mays....Direct Buy showrooms....Get Cash for your Timeshare....Humana health insurance....Video Professor computer learning lessons....Rosetta Stone language CDs....Bare Minerals makeup....and ANY local ads.

And a special hate goes out to Direct Buy and Cash for your Timeshare ads, because with those the cretins have jacked the volume up to obnoxious levels relative to the surrounding programming.

The only advantage to the CrapAd is that when you are zipping through the commercials with your DVR remote, you can recognize when to hit the PLAY button. With a little practice you can get back to the programming at just the right moment.

My favorite right now is for ENZYTE, a male enhancement product. It features a smug couple talking about how much their sex life improved just because he took some herbal crap that costs $80 a month. And the hubby claims it made his little mister even bigger and "Well, THAT was fun too!". Oh gag!

The mops and brooms singing "BABY COME BACK" are getting old too. Swifter ain't that great kids!

I am so sick of that one for SNUG-WOW, the Snuggie made from Shamwows! I don't care to wear a super absorbent robe that cleans up messes from when I am too lazy to make it to the bathroom. It's a Hogwarts pee party, and it's gross. This people must be stopped!

Not a commercial in general but just a general complaint against the Hallmark Channel. It's a family friendly channel so why do they have so many commercials for male enhancement products? During shows like Little House on the Prairie and Touched by An Angel. I'm sure that's not what they angels want to touch.

And god help me but I'm a little taken back by the Jimmy Dean commercials. The sun works in a giant office building? It's so bad that it's almost good.
