Don't know what you guys are talking about (other than the fact that I agree that with modern horror movies, the barrel is extremely deep). In a world of cliched and generally stupid horror films, this one is intelligent and actually pretty creepy. I saw Dead Birds and it was decent but I thought this one was a lot better. I'm guessing the budget was pretty tight, since some of the cheap special effects made me cringe, but the acting, writing, and directing more than make up for it. I wish that producers with large budgets could make something this good. I highly recommend it as a good thriller.
