Radio legend Paul Harvey, whose news and commentary segments always ended with his distinctive sign-off, "Paul Harvey....good day," died today at the age of 90, ABC Radio Network reported Saturday.

He died Saturday at his winter home in Phoenix, surrounded by family, network spokesman Louis Adams said. No cause of death was immediately available.

Wow, last time I remember hearing him was driving to the Keys in the 70s.

Wow, that's very sad news. The airwaves just won't be the same without Paul Harvey. I wonder whether his son will keep the program going?

An icon. I can remember his voice on the radio since I was four or five.

Did anyone else first hear that name from an episode of The Simpsons?

I can't remember what episode it was. I think it was the one where Bleeding Gums Murphy dies.

And I'm mentioning The Simpsons an awful lot today. I'll stop.

In any case, he was definitely one of the greats. He'll be missed.

My reference was the most famour Paul Harvey-ism on The Simpsons, when Marge & Homer buy the marriage sexual-health tape "The Erotic American" as read by Paul Harvey.

Not sure if it was Harvey himself, but definitely his style.

It's sort of like when George C. Scott died. I didn't immediately think of Patton or even A Christmas Carol. it was 2-and-a-half words: "UGH! My GROIN!"
