That's admittedly pretty damn stupid.

Not that it matters because, after "Battlestar Galactica" wraps up, I'm done watching this channel. Will come back to check "Caprica" and the new "Stargate" show to see if they're worth watching, but the name of the channel is meaningless because I'll still refer to it as 'Sci-Fi Channel' (whether they like it or not).

And if you just stick to referring to it in speech rather than writing, nobody will even know.

Which only adds to the goofiness of the whole thing.

Translation: we can't copyright "sci-fi."

For you, perhaps. Once the change goes through, I'll be pronouncing the name of the network "Si-Fee."

Ironically, the biggest ratings draw for Sci-Fi is ECW wrestling.

It's all Tommy Dreamer's doing.

They should just can ECW and give him a sci-fi cop show of some kind.

I would totally watch a TV show about Tommy Dreamer as a somewhat aloof cop with his own bizarre ways of handling situations who everyone thinks is stark crazy. Throw in Jack Swagger as one of his informants who is always in the midst of getting clean and trying out weird new jobs and Monty Brown as an always stylish fellow detective and I'd watch twice.
