ER - The Complete Tenth Season

If people don't like this I will go back to the weekly "Buy?" threads, but since last week's thread got 3 posts I thought I would go to the "WATCHING" thread format for March by having a monthly "Buy?" thread instead of one every week.

I did just pick up the following:

Becker: Season Two
WWE: The History of The Intercontinental Championship
WWE: Starracade: The Essential Collection

I also bought Bret Hart's autobiography, but that's obviously not a DVD.

You've been reading the other threads about us buying fewer DVD's/renting more/etc., haven't you ALF? I mean, thepegsdave? I also vote we go with a monthly 'BUYING' thread like we've done with the 'WATCHING' thread. Makes it easy to keep track of each other's vices and sinful activities.

Kashimashi Girl Meets Girl Collection (anime)
Katsuhiro Ôtomo's Steamboy (three bucks brand new!)
Love & Basketball (ditto).

Ultimate or TV series? Because one of those two is a shaky ride, and the other nosedives into the tarmac about halfways through.

Why?

Why the sale or why Hellsing? If it's the former, because I need space and I'm not going to be able to re-watch a lot of the stuff I own. If it's the latter, because I've heard that it's a decent horror/action series and figured it would be worth a watch.

Ghost in the Shell 2:Innocence Blu-ray
House of 1000 Corpses
The Devil's Rejects
Wolf Creek

The first because I saw a demo disc that featured the parade sequence and it absolutely wowed me in Hi Def and the other three based on reviews I read in Video Watchdog.

Delurking (of sorts; it's been a while since I last posted) to say that the audio for some inexplicable reason defaults to an English dub. Luckily, however, there is in fact a track in the original Swedish, available in the Setup menu (or the audio button on the remote of course). There are two English subtitle sets, a 'normal' one and one called English Narrative Subtitles, but that one didn't seem to do anything, at least with the Swedish dialogue on. Not sure what it is exactly.

Also, I bought this yesterday, and Flight Of The Conchords season 1. First actual purchases in a long while-- it's been all Netflix lately.

Synecdoche New York, Ashes of Time: Redux and Semi Pro: 2 disc Unrated.....oh and War Child Presents Heroes....it's a CD which benefits children affected by war and features songwriter's like David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Springstein, Blondie, etc. picking songs they recorded and then picking new artists to cover those songs. Some awesome stuff.

One of the last remaining privately-owed video stores in the area went out of business. 5 for $25 at the closing sale:

Shadow of the Vampire
The Ice Storm
Beyond Reanimator
Quantum of Solace
The Station Agent
- I used to own this, but I stopped being freinds with somebody while she was borrowing. It took me almost a year to figure out which movie she had out.
+1. this is very interesting.
