which console / handheld do you own?

I'd like to know who here (especially the podcast team) has and uses what. Which do you use the most?

PS3 and the Wii for me. The PS3 is used primarily as my Blu-Ray player. I occasionally play a game on it, but as I approach 40 it's a bit hard to justify 20 straight hours of gaming.

I bought the Wii as a gift for my kids. It's fun.

I got a Wii when it was released, but it's been collecting dust since I got my PS3 last year.

Sorry Marshall I missed the choose ONE console thingie so I voted for both the computer and older system (PS2 for me). Currently I'm playing the PS2 most and loving it, I bought it like two weeks ago... I don't think I'll buy a PS3 before a while- I don't even have an HDTV yet.

If you can get a backwards compat. PS3 I'd recomend the jump. It's an amazing machine that really will become the center of attraction if you let it. I watch movies on it both streaming from my PC via TVersity and off flash drives. You can rent movies from the PSN, or buy them for permanent download even. Mines hooked up to a standard TV also but one day I hope to buy a better one.

I know what you're saying but 400$ for a console is too much for me right now...

I'm surprised the PS3 has the lead. Isn't the install base of it the smallest?

Im strange I guess as I've only had an NES and a PSX prior. I was given a PS2 but I'm selling it.

I was told that I'm weird to have DS and PS3 as most PS3 owners go for a PSP.

I've also noticed that all the people who told me I'd be disappointed in the PS3 have never actually owned one. I don't tell people they'd hate the Xbox, I just tell people that as an all around machine the PS3 is better. For gaming get either.

Though I've waded back into Wii territory lately thanks to Resident Evil 4, it's been all 360 and DS the past couple of weeks. I'm a little surprised the poll leans so heavily in the PS3's favor, but I guess I shouldn't be. I'll get one someday.

What happened to this
Image

The ps3 was supposed to have dual screen support. That would have been awesome. I guess it was canned as the owners manual I've barely glimpsed at doesn't mention it. I have DS and two monitors on my PC so this would have been right up my alley. I know of people who hooked up two tv's and two xbox's for Halo tournaments also that would have made good use of this feature if it allowed multiplayer.

On the Critierion Games page they've shown their game, Burount: Paradise, playing across three screens. It's pretty impressive.

And, stupid me, I also double-voted with a PS3 and a Wii.

Dave, we need to talk. I don't mind Alf stopping by occasionally but he's monopolized my DS.

360, PS3, Wii & DS... However the PS3 (which was a gift) I mainly use it for BluRay discs... Most of my time is on DS I think, since I can pick it up and play quickly :)

PS1 and I have only two games. Panzer General and Allied General by SSI. After these games (and possibly Pacific General), everything else sucks.

Today I got me a Sony PSP Entertainment Pack (PSP system, "Rock Band" videogame, "School of Rock" UMD and 4GB Memory Stick). My launch-date PSP was stolen from my office by a bike messenger last November. Tried to resist the urge to buy a new one by plunging into my N-Gage, Lynx, GameBoy Color, GameBoy Advance and Nintendo DS Lite. Then info/pics of the PSP Go! in action were released on E3 week but, since that shiny piece of overhyped plastic is still the same ol' PSP inside (and $50 more without backwards UMD compatibility), my collection of months-old PSP UMD's begged for relief. Non-portables: PS3 (for Blu-ray mostly), XBox 360 (for HD-DVD mostly), PS2, Dreamcast, N64, Saturn, 3DO, PS1, Genesis/Nomad (one of each), Super NES and my pride and joy, a Virtual Boy. 8)

Sadly, I no longer have my earliest systems: Atari 2600, Intellevision and Colecovision (God, I loved Ladybug on that system!)

Systems I still have:
NES
Genesis with CD and Master Game System adapter
Super Nintendo
Saturn
Playstation 1
Turbo Grafx with CD
Dreamcast
Playstation 3 60GB to play my current PS3 and my old PS2 games
Gameboys from the original B&W to the current DSi
Wii
GameCube
Nintendo 64
