Netflix on the consoles?

Any thoughts? The general concensus is that Netflix is such a juggernaut that it will eventually hit all three. I disagree.

Wii- sure why not if it can handle it. I'm not sure how big it will be but it could work.

PS3- I say it won't happen. Sony has too much in their own system that would effectivly be killed by it. Sony is using the pay per view method (like Amazon) where Netflix uses the a-la-cart method. Americans prefer the latter but I'm told globally the other works fine. Here's the rub though, do I pay 3 dollars to rent a movie from psn or 9 to rent all I want from Netflix? Simple choice isn't it. I think Sony will have to adjust their prices in the future but I don't see them going to netflix. The only way possible is if they can their rental scheme and just sell movies. You then could use Netflix to rent, Sony to buy.

Do you think Sony will ever adjust their PSN prices to be more competitive? Right now shows are 2 dollars I think, even if it's a 15 minute Spongebob episode. Itunes has them beat.

Where does Amazon fit in this? They've wormed their way onto Netflix's Roku player. Will they get onto a console?

I've used Netflix on the 360 and it's pretty awesome. I've been rewatching the first & second seasons of 30 Rock, and they look crisp HD, and no buffering once it's playing (no delays). My only gripes with it are:
a) You can't view subtitles or closed captions
b) If you start rewinding or forwarding, then it will buffer (which takes like 10-30 seconds)

Overall, it's great, and free  . Definitely better than the Netflix PC instant watch.

FYI, b) has gotten way better, to a 1 second pause or less!
