Flight Sims

Has there been any decent Flight Sim (or space) games released in recent years? I miss these, and haven't played any really since Freespace 2 and Crimson Skies. I'm only aware of a couple made recently, and they haven't been well reviewed. Is there anything out worth a dogfight?
+1. this is very interesting.

The first Blazing Angels was a bit of fun. Stay the hell away from HAWX.

The Ace Combat series is always pretty good for some modern day dogfighting shenanigans.

The last real space sim i can think of was Starlancer on the Dreamcast - which was awesome.

Check out Project: Sylpheed for the Xbox 360. It's a decent enough Space Sim, though the storyline is much more Mobile Suit Gundam than it is Wing Commander (some may see that as a good thing).

Why, is that a non-fighting Dreamcast game that Mr. Power is singing the praises of?

Starlancer didn't have Freddie Prinze Jr in it...but then again, Project Sylpheed is sadly lacking in Tcheky Karyo and Jurgen Prognow.

Took some recommendations and picked up Blazing Angels & Ace Combat 5.

Much thanks!
