Anyone watch the AFI top 100 show?

New or old, regardless of format, we love talking about movies and the people who make them

Anyone watch the AFI top 100 show?

My observations:

1. Will "it" always be #1?

2. Was it me, or did they mistakenly identify Bridge on the River Kwai as a 1941 film?

3. I want to get a copy of 1927's Sunrise (previously unheard of by me), which oddly enough was apparently never released for individual sale and is not readily available.

An unbelievably great film and DVD. Buy this:

http://www.amazon.com/Studio-Classics-Collection-Gentlemans-Agreement/dp/B0000AINLS/ref=pd_bbs_sr_3/102-5911739-2780923?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1182434871&sr=1-3

They've got it in stock, and even if you own one or more of the other films, Sunrise is worth the asking price of the whole set alone.

Leaving out The Third Man is inexcusable. That film is easily head and shoulders above a great deal of the films that made the list.

Of course, that's an opinion, but I sincerely hope it's not just my opinion.

It was good to see Blade Runner on the list.

And there were a few movies (Nashville and Dr. Strangelove among them) that I would have placed higher. But at least they made the list.
Oh, you're paying way too much for worms, man. Who's your worm guy?

I'm not sure that was an American made film (AFI is limited to those, right)? That would be the only possible reason I can think of.
