Finally, ALF has moved from the 'Buying' to the 'Watching' thread. I was wondering why ALF bought and bought Blu-rays and DVD's and never once came over to the 'Watching' threads to talk about what he had seen. Maybe he was just eating those tasty discs (or sending them to Melmac to study humanity's obsession with blowing wads of cash every Tuesday on shiny round things).

And who the f*** are those birds taking ALF's place??!!

Put in a big honking order to amazon.uk...a lot of Doctor Who...."Vengeance on Varos", "Timelash", "Delta and the Bannermen", the recent Easter special, "Planet of the Dead" and the Troughton finale series, "The War Games".
A bunch of Brit comedy that was seriously discounted....Marion and Geoff-series 1 &2, it's spin-off series, The Keith Barret Show series 1, Nighty Night series 1, Alan Partridge: Knowing Me, Knowing You/Knowing Me, Knowing Yule, a comedy/drama from Coupling creator & incoming Doctor Who boss Steven Mofatt, Joking Apart and a pair of BBC drama series, Occupation and Private Schulz.
*Edit*
Add on Dennis Potter's The Singing Dectective with Michael Gambon.

Took advantage of the B&N sale plus a couple of 15% coupons and picked up My Dinner With Andre and Last Year At Marienbad for cheap.

The Seventh Seal at Barnes and Noble. Just can't resist 60% off Criterions. Especially in a case like this, when a seemingly $40 disc is being offered at Criterion's cheaper rate.

Coraline 2-disc and taking advantage of B&N's 60% off Criterion sale, Bunuel's The Exterminating Angel. Oh and the latest issue of Mojo as well as the new Ian Hunter CD, "Man Overboard."

Used a Chapters gift card to pre-order the (cheaper) re-release of Warner's John Wayne/John Ford Film Collection. Too bad it won't ship until September. I'm stoked to finally watch Stagecoach.

I thought that the new re-release of the John Ford/John Wayne box set omits Stagecoach.

You're right, Bill. This should really be more prominently advertised. Most of the places I've found where it can be ordered simply have the exact same cover image as the previous release without mentioning the omission of Stagecoach. Thanks for the info.

Other than the titles that I posted on the deepdiscount sale thread, I also picked up these Blu Rays:
Star Trek OS Season One
Marvel Blu Ray 3 Pack (Both Fantastic 4 flix and Daredevil Directors Cut)
Spiderman Trilogy

Working on getting all the Batman flix on Blu soon as well.
Also picked up a VHS (Yep!) of Rock Video Monthly:: Alternative Releases November 1994.
It has a Toad The Wet Sprocket video that I don't have a decent copy of.
Remember what Entertainment Weekly said:
"The Fray — for people who think that Toad the Wet Sprocket are too edgy."
"Can you Photoshop your life with better decisions Jerry?"
