Erich: Memorable offscreen characters- Charlie from Charlie's Angels

Michael S.: 3D upgrades for old movies - 2001 : A Space Odyssey could be an even greater trip! Imagine the monkey's am, the monolith or those weird colors coming at you.

Mike R: Flunkies with monosyllabic names - Not really a flunky, but a secondary character : Grawp, Hagrid's giant half-brother from the Harry Potter films.

Dave: make a superhero team: horror icon, precocious sitcom kid, female protagonist from a Rom com, talking animal.

Here we go:
Freddy Krueger
Lisa Simpson (don't watch any sitcoms, hope she counts)
Amy from Chasing Amy
Kermit The Frog

Team Name - Rainbow (considering we have Kermit's famous song, a lesbian and Lisa who has to love rainbows. Freddy doesn't really fit)

Superpowers:
Well Freddy can appear in your dreams and kill you.
Lisa is very bright and could be the planner, the inventor and could also out trick the baddies.
Amy is a graphic artist so she could draw stuff that would then attack. or she could use her raspy voice and scream hurtful at the enemy.
As for Kermit... I don't know, my guess is that he would easily get killed.

Yet another mistake to correct. This is what happens when you're tired...

Memorable offscreen characters: I know he wasn't totally offscreen, but I'll go with Dr. Claw from the Inspector Gadget cartoon. (Hey, you only ever got to see his arm.)

3D upgrades for old movies: John Carpenter's The Thing: All those slimy creatures, transformations, & tenacles would be awesome in 3D.

Flunkies with monosyllabic names: The flunkie that is responsible for the worst Halle Berry one-liner ever: Toad from X-Men

Make a superhero team: horror icon, precocious sitcom kid, female protagonist from a Rom com, talking animal:

This ambush topic is screwed up!
Jason Voorhees
Wesley from Mr. Belvedere
Margaret Tate (Sandra Bullock in The Proposal)
Top Cat

Team Name: Brains & Blood

Jason is the muscle & does all the dirty work (decapitations, dismemberments, assassinations, etc.) for this group.
Wesley can help with all his schemes & tricks.
Margaret knows how to deal with government officials (especially the Immigration Dept.) & can get through all the red tape.
Top Cat is the informant with all his resources & connections on the street.
