Dead Snow

Dead Snow: A group of medical students decide to spend Easter Weekend at a secluded snowbound cabin in the mountains of Norway, unfortunately it is also the location of horde of Nazi zombies. These aren't your Romero zombies or rage infected monstrosities, these zombies are fast but also somewhat intelligent, and with motivation beyond rending the flesh from the living. What makes this movie special is that the heroes really give the ghouls are run for their money as they fend off the dead with knives, hammers, fire, and of course chainsaws (one of my favorite moment is when one guy charges the Nazi zombies with hammer and sickle). The film is fun, gore filled and a great choice for Halloween viewing.

I was mislead with this film. I was told it was a hardcore zombie flick. Turns out it's a Peter-Jackson-homage zombie-comedy.

Fun, but more schitcky comedy than I expected or cared for.
