PS2 parental setting.

Is there a way to take it off forever? It kind of bugs me to have to enter it every damn time.

Start the PS2 with no disc in the tray and find the option from the menu that pops up.

You need to be in the DVD player software, which loads when the PS2 detects a DVD disc.

Hit the select button on your remote, and look for the setup icon (kinda looks like a briefcase).

Parental options pop up in there somewhere, and you can set them to 'off'.

You'll need a memory card in slot one to preserve the settings however.

Tried it but I couldn't change the parental control. I got a menu that has Pause Mode and Parental Control as options. I can change the Pause Mode but can't get int parental... Even after entering the four digit code. Stupid machine!

Try resetting the parental control - when the system asks for a parental code - press the select button and it will ask you for a delet password - enter "7444" and then set up a new one. See if that works.

EDIT: I think you also have to have the player in stop mode, not paused.
