Dark Knight...I can check and see if they have a Third Man blu-ray left if you want.

That would be cool! Don't go out of your way though.
I didn't open the standard one I bought yet.
Thanks!

I was just at my B&N, didn't see any Blu-ray of Third Man. More acquisitions from the sale
Sansho the Bailiff
Classe Tous Risques
Kwaidan

Despite assuring myself that was it, I know 'm going to end up with 3-4 more titles before it's over.

Ditto on my end with The Third Man blu-rays. I hit both my local B&Ns and no go. Sorry. If I had known earlier I could have helped you out Dark Knight. So yeah, if B&N keeps feeding me coupons, I will keep taking advantage of that 60% off sale. Today was Eclipse 15: Travels with Hiroshi Shimizu for 85% off. Cool. Saints 10-0, even cooler.

Thanks anyway. I appreciate the effort.

I am having to go further and further afield to find stuff for my collection..

today i ordered Remember the Night (1940) and Mad Miss Marton (1938) both with Barbara Stanwyck...but she's worth it.
btw in case anyone else cares..the TCM site, which has dvd exclusives..also has all the Warner Archive films listed so you can save on shipping..(and they aren't the same prices that Movies Unlimited has...check prices beforehand)

I picked up Hardware on Blu. The price was right, and I haven't seen the movie since the wee early years of the 1990s, if I've even seen it at all. The name of the movie sounds familiar, but I watched a s*** ton of trashy sci-fi before a rewatch of Blade Runner opened my eyes in Junior High School. Something tells me that seeing this through the eyes of an adult is going to be a treat.

Not a dvd but I did pick up the complete set (all six volumes) of the hardcover Everyman's edition of Gibbons' Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire for around $60 shipped via two B&N book coupons (40% member, and 25% non-member; MC). My wife may insist on wrapping them for me.

The 400 Blows (Blu-ray  ) for $12.99. Will be the first BD my father will play in the new $80 Blu-ray player his wife just bought at Home Depot. I am losing so much money on all the things I'm saving money on! :)

I spent entirely too much money on Black Friday. From Amazon, I purchased Away We Go, Leatherheads, Corpse Bride, Raging Bull, The Departed, Casino, Vicky Christina Barcelona and Pushing Daisies: The Complete First Season... all Blu-ray. Plus, I picked up Gremlins on Blu-ray from Target.

Star Trek IV

My daughter picked up, for me, the Blu-ray 3 disc Emerald Edition of The Wizard of Oz for $12.99 at Target.

I had this in my hands at 6 am Friday at my Target and mulled it over but I finally couldn't do it, having bought (an opened, of course) the Wal-Mart single disc Blu edition for $19.99 or so a month ago.

I had kept putting off buying the Ultimate edition and when I saw the Black Friday ad online I phoned my daughter in Portland to get it for me. Saved a chunk of change and I figured I could live without the watch and such.
