On Steinway there's a shop called Entertainment Exchange. They specialize in used DVDs and games. They also sell used iPhones, cells and iPods in addition. Well, anyway, last Friday, I went in to browse since they usually have unbelievable bargains. I had grabbed a few discs and was on my way to the register when I saw it in the TV on DVD section. 25 cents. I couldn't believe it. I grabbed it. I even wrote about it on my blog:

Metal Gear Solid 4 (Yeah, I know I'm late to the party, but sometimes I like to wait until games are dirt cheap -- especially when I'm otherwise occupied getting my kill on as Nathan Drake or glide-kicking armed thugs as Batman).

Also - don't look at the absurdity of the cutscenes, look at the technical brilliance... It's kinda like Avatar that way.

No, but sneaking around, slapping dudes in sleeper holds, and busting caps in people is all I need. If I'm baffled by the soap operatics, I don't really care. On the off chance that it does bug me, I'll peruse Wikipedia for the basics.

Got my Rossellini War Trilogy set on order from Criterion. I'm buying very (very) few DVDs these days, but had to make an exception for this. In my mind, it's one of the most important releases that has been - or will be - delivered to market in 2010. Cannot wait.
