Postby Gabriel Girard » Tue May 04, 2010 2:55 am

http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/tetrobluray.php Is this a case of wrong review for a film or wrong film for a review?

Yeah, I was baffled at first. I didn't think Coppola's latest was about a dude with a bunch of tigers.
Oh, you're paying way too much for worms, man. Who's your worm guy?

I assure you, the review that I wrote had nothing to do with tigers. Hopefully it'll be corrected soon.

Interesting review Clark. I haven't seen Youth Without Youth yet either. Glad to know Coppola is doing what he wants now instead of commercial projects like The Rainmaker ( still maybe the best Grisham film) and Jack ( uuugh)...

I definitely prefer what he's doing now to some of his limp mainstream stuff (Ah, who can forget the Bill Cosby farting scene from Jack?), though the new stuff certainly has problems of its own. I prefer Youth Without Youth to Tetro... the films are about even in terms of artistry (superb) and storytelling (not-so-superb), but Tim Roth's central performance in the former film is fascinating while Vincent Gallo's central performance in the latter is pretty dull.
