He was even worse in Bad boys II, had SERIOUS demands in his contract to attempt to one-up Will Smith. One rumor goes that he was contractually obligated to at least 5 minutes of solo improv on screen. He wanted more money, better billing, a bigger trailer, yadda yadda yadda.

Frankly i'm amazed they bothered with him for the third one when there are so many other black actors out there who are so much cooler (Imagine Michael Jai White opposite Will Smith in Bad Boys III, let your imagination run wild!)

It would never work because it would shatter any remaining notion of Will Smith being a convincing badass when compared to White, and I'm sure Bay wouldn't want to work with someone he couldn't bully around.
