Blog Ideas

My husband and I have kept a blog that has kind of fell victim to our busy lives in 2009. However, the current host we use, VOX, is really disappointing us although its graphics are great and all. Anyone have any recommendations or offer advice? I want to transfer our old posts into the new site and potentially start a new blog dedicated to our adoption process only. I am looking at Word Press but just being nervous... Love to see some examples if you don't mind sharing. Bryan Pope is standing by to take your calls if you feel you need to leave a message.

If you're looking for a good hosting/website platform, then I can't say enough good things about squarespace.com. You pay a little more than other hosting services, but you get amazingly easy to customize templates (as in, drag and drop sections, column widths, etc.) that are great whether you know nothing about CSS or want to get in and tweak all the code. Their hosting is redundant across many servers, all over the world, so if you get really popular the site won't go down, and you don't have to worry about losing data. Plus, they have really nice tools for both importing other blogs as well as exporting later on if you decide to do something else.

After some research and the qualification that it had to be free, I went with Word Press. Now I am tinkering.

Wordpress is great if you want to do it simply OR completely customize it.
I went for the customization...but sometimes i get stuck
I have hired a guy from FIVERR.com to fix my wordpress issues..
