Will Star Trek: TMP ever get an individual Blu release?

I have been waiting to see if Paramount would release the film on its own, and so far, no such luck. I would love to have the original cut, but I am not sure about repurchasing all the other films at the same time.

Anyone out there know?

It's been said that the Director's Edition 2-disc sets that bowed on DVD would eventually hit Blu-ray. Apparently the new effects shots on TMP in particular had to be reworked first, as they were originally rendered in SD.

Probably get em all in time for Abrams' Star Trek II.

True, but I have been hoping to just get the theatrical cut as well. I seem to be one of the few few like it.
